Reported or custom rate · no hidden pity assumption
What it answers

Chance, risk and budget

The calculator finds your chance of at least one target result, the risk of getting none, the expected hit count and an optional total resource budget. Tracked traits also show their sources, confidence and pity caveat beside the input.

Important limit

Read the current game first

Rates and reroll rules can change. Community-reported presets are a convenience, not an official table. Override the percentage with the live game value whenever it differs.

Reported data or your custom rate

Trait reroll chance calculator

Choose a tracked trait to fill its community-reported rate and sources, or switch to a custom value from your live game.

Choose a trait or enter a live percentage, then add a reroll count.
Method

The calculation behind the result

For chance p and rerolls n, the chance of at least one hit is 1 − (1 − p)ⁿ. Zero-hit risk is (1 − p)ⁿ, expected hits are p × n, and budget is n × cost.

Use displayed odds

A result is only as reliable as the percentage entered. Do not borrow rates from another game or an old update.

Average is not certainty

Expected hits describe repeated budgets across many trials. Any one set of rerolls can finish above or below that average.

Stop rules matter

Choose a maximum budget before rerolling. Recalculate if the displayed rate, cost or pool changes.

FAQ

Trait reroll questions

What Anime Origins trait odds should I enter?

Choose a tracked trait to use its clearly labelled community-reported rate, or override it with the percentage displayed in your current game.

Does the result guarantee a trait?

No. It estimates repeated independent attempts. Reported pity notes are shown, but the calculator never adds an unverified pity rule.

What does expected hits mean?

It is the long-run average across many comparable budgets, not a promise for one player.

Why is the cost optional?

Resource names and costs have not been directly confirmed, so the calculator accepts the current value you see.

Can I enter a very small probability?

Yes. The calculator accepts percentages down to four decimal places and keeps extra precision for small results.
